FLAT ROOF INSPECTIONS
Inspection Process
A drone, equipped with a thermal imaging camera, can fly over the flat roof of a building and spot temperature variations that indicate issues such as water infiltration, wet insulation, and air leaks. These cannot be identified in a standard inspection.
Analysis
Our in-house professionals process the thermal data to identify problems. A hot spot could indicate heat loss while a cool spot could signal a leak or wet insulation. Detailed thermal maps are created with side-by-side visual and thermal images to serve as a benchmark to track changes.
Enhanced Safety
Because a drone quickly can cover large areas from above without accessing a roof, there is no need for an inspector to risk injury by climing and walking on potentially hazardous roofs.
Greater Efficiency
A drone can quickly capture high-resolution visual and thermal data across an entire roof surface in a fraction of the time required by manual inspection. By reducing time and labor and eliminating the need for specialized equipment, drone inspections are more cost effective than traditional methods. Potential problems can be identified and addressed before they grow worse, thus saving time and money for more expensive future repairs.
