CELL TOWER INSPECTIONS
Comprehensive data
A drone with a high-resolution camera can capture a much more comprehensive view than manual inspections. Issues, such as corrosion, loose bolts, or potential obstructions that could be overlooked, can more easily be viewed with the high technology of a drone.
Data Collection
Using high-definition cameras and specialized sensors, drones are able to capture detailed visuals of the structure. Using automated flight paths, a drone can circle the tower safely at specific altitudes and distances to capture data for 3-D models. A digital archive of the tower’s condition is created as a baseline to track changes and plan for maintenance.
Safety
Drone inspections eliminate the need for a technician to climb a tower, risking a fall or injury.
Greater Efficiency
Aerial inspections reduce the time and labor of tower inspection, with one drone able to inspect several towers in a single day. By eliminating the need for specialized equipment and extensive labor, the cost of inspection is reduced significantly.
